| Dr. Fay is a vibrant, inspiring figure. She successfully challenged prevailing prejudice that women shouldn't pursue the sciences by earning her masters and doctorate degree and becoming a geneticist. She passionately and effectively served her community as an educator, community activist, and leader. A partial listing of her accolades include the Community Mental Health Center Award (1982), the Beach Institute Education Award (2001), and the Mendonsa Lifetime Achievement Award (2002). At 92, Dr. Fay continues to lovingly embrace and inspire her community. |
