1913 - 2009

Dr. Fay is a vibrant, inspiring figure. She successfully challenged prevailing prejudice that women shouldn't pursue the sciences by earning her masters and doctorate degree and becoming a geneticist. She passionately and effectively served her community as an educator, community activist, and leader. A partial listing of her accolades include the Community Mental Health Center Award (1982), the Beach Institute Education Award (2001), and the Mendonsa Lifetime Achievement Award (2002).
